In loving memory of Aidan McSpadden
"My daughter was in ICU for days and then when there was nothing else anyone could do, we were blessed to be able to take her home where she always loved to be. Before she passed away, our social worker gave us this wonderful basket full of goodness. The basket had so many things that we needed. I wanted to say thank you to B.I.G. love for the basket and all the heartfelt love that was placed in creating the basket. We truly appreciate it."
The Angels for Aidan Comfort cart program was established in 2013 in memory of Aidan William McSpadden. He was diagnosed at 17 months old with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. He fought a long, hard battle for two years but earned his angel wings on May 4th 2012. He was an amazing three year old with a contagious smile. Through B.I.G. Love and the Comfort Cart program, his beautiful spirit and never ending love can live on forever at Texas Children's Hospital.
The Comfort Cart is provided to families on the cancer floor of Texas Children's Hospital whose child is an inpatient with a terminal prognosis. This cart is filled with items that we hope would provide comfort to families during this very difficult and stressful time. Some of the articles provided are snacks, sheet sets, a coffee maker and coffee, CD player, aromatherapy oils and other useful items. If you would like to donate directly to this cause, please see the donation tab and select Angels for Aidan Comfort Cart.
